Connecting People With Opportunity

Impact

Beyond business

My social impact work is not the same thing as my commercial companies. I keep the two clearly separated — different purposes, different structures, one mission.

My future philanthropy

I have established Breakthrough Youth Generation and THE FORGE. Both exist to empower young people rather than to generate profit.

What help means to me

I don't only want to give people something. I want to empower them.

The most sustainable way I can help people is not simply to give them something. It is to empower them, connect them to the right people and give them the information they need to create their own opportunities.

My humanitarian vision

Things I will build when I can

None of what follows exists yet. These are commitments, not achievements.

For a long time, I have carried a vision of building a rehabilitation centre for street-connected children.

It is an old vision — one I have held since well before I had any capacity to act on it — and I intend to realise it when I have sufficient resources to do it properly rather than symbolically.

I also want to support orphanages, vulnerable children, scholarships, humanitarian initiatives, youth and communities.

What the centre would need to provide

  • Safety
  • Rehabilitation
  • Education
  • Skills
  • Counselling
  • Care
  • Dignity
  • Reintegration
  • Opportunity

Not operational. This is a future initiative I am building toward.

My leadership

How I build with people

I care deeply about the people I build with.

I don't want to be remembered as someone who simply managed people. I want people who worked with me to feel that they became better because they were part of the journey.
